Internships available all-year long
Pierce County Community Newspaper Group (PCCNG) is dedicated to not only being a reliable source of information for its readers but a place for college students with a passion for journalism to learn what the newspaper business is all about.
PCCNG has a number of unpaid internships available to incoming juniors, seniors and graduate students attending four-year colleges and universities. Applicants must be communication/journalism majors preferably with some hands-on experience like at a college publication as well as ample knowledge of Associated Press style.
Community news is the hallmark of PCCNG‚s four newspapers: the Tacoma Weekly, Fife Free Press, Milton-Edgewood Signal and the Puyallup Tribal News. Interns have the potential to write for all four of the publications.
PCCNG is very flexible in regards to scheduling, and specific dates are negotiable. Work hours are usually from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with occasional night and weekend assignments.
Note: Reporting interns must have a vehicle and current car insurance.
Requirements: Your application should include a cover letter and resume along with two professional references and no more than five non-returnable clips.

Delivery Driver
Would you like extra cash while working only one day a week? Pierce County Newspaper Group, which publishes the Tacoma Weekly, Fife Free Press and Milton-Edgewood Signal, is currently seeking delivery drivers.
Individuals applying must have a valid drivers license and automobile insurance as well as a reliable vehicle. In addition, he or she must be available every Thursday, starting at 8 a.m. Pay is a competitive hourly rate plus mileage compensation.
